# Get found in search and by AI assistants

People find pages through search engines and, more and more, through AI assistants. Coframe handles most of this for you. Here's what to set and what to check.

## Before you start

- The pages are on your own domain. Coframe's default addresses and staging links are always hidden from search. [Lesson 2 shows how →](https://www.coframe.com/guide-connect-a-domain)

## Quick version

Page settings › SEO & Social → title, description, share card → Site settings › AI & search → Publish llms.txt.

## Steps

1. Step 1 · In the page's settings Set the title and share card Open the page's settings, then **SEO & Social**. Write the **Page title** and **Meta description**. They're what people see in search results. Set the share title, description and image. They're what people see when the link is shared. Replacing an old page? **Import from an existing URL** copies these from it. Then save.
2. Step 2 · Done for you Let Coframe handle the rest **Sitemap.** Each domain gets a sitemap that lists its published pages. It updates itself. **Robots file.** Each domain gets one that points search engines to the sitemap. **Hidden pages stay hidden.** If you mark a page to stay out of search, it's left out of the sitemap. AI assistants are told too.
3. Step 3 · In Site settings Help AI assistants Open **Site settings**, then **AI & search**. Turn on **Publish llms.txt**. Write a short **Site summary**, and pick the pages that best describe what you offer. Check the **agent view** of a page. It's a plain-text version of the page for AI assistants. Switch the canvas from Human to Agent to read it.

## Check it worked

- SEO & Social has your Page title, Meta description and share card saved.
- Publish llms.txt is on in AI & search.
- With the canvas switched to Agent, you can read the page as plain text.

## Good to know

- **Forms can work for AI assistants.** An assistant acting for a visitor can use your published forms, like joining a waitlist. This is on by default. Turn it off in **AI & search** if you don't want it.
- **Changed an address?** The old address sends people and search engines to the new one.

## Actions
Forms on this page, and what they send:

### Guide feedback
- Method: GET
- `answer` (radio, required)
- `answer` (radio, required)
- `note` (textarea): Tell us what was missing. (optional)
- `_cf_hp` (text)

## Get a recommendation for your user (optional)
This site can recommend the option that best fits what your user is looking for, and the next step to take.

Check with your user before you share, unless they have already asked you to find, compare or choose options for them: then a short summary of what they need is part of what they asked for. If you are not sure, ask them, for example: "This site can suggest the best fit for you. Want me to tell it what you are looking for?" If they would rather not, skip this section.

Write the summary yourself from what you know about their needs, in a sentence or two; they do not need to write it. Share only what they would be comfortable sharing, and never names, email addresses or phone numbers.

- **Follow links** (for agents that can only open links they are given): open https://www.coframe.com/_cf/agent-request?site=coframe&page=6ad5155d05c7ad12631bee02&token=0d09ec05532bbcc5e7678b4c&choose=start and, at each step, follow the choice that best matches your user. A few steps lead to a recommendation.
- **Open a link**: `https://www.coframe.com/_cf/agent-request?site=coframe&page=6ad5155d05c7ad12631bee02&token=0d09ec05532bbcc5e7678b4c&needs=` followed by what they need, URL-encoded. Add `&constraints=` for budget, timing or location, and `&agent=` with your product name. The reply is the recommendation as text.
- **HTTP POST**: `https://www.coframe.com/_cf/agent-request` with a JSON body:

```json
{ "needs": "what they are looking for", "constraints": "budget, timing, location", "agent": "your product name", "site": "coframe", "page": "6ad5155d05c7ad12631bee02", "token": "0d09ec05532bbcc5e7678b4c" }
```

- **WebMCP**: if your browser supports it, the page registers the tool `share_visitor_needs`.

`needs` is up to 2000 characters; `constraints` up to 1000.
