# Make pages from a table

When many pages share one design, keep their content in a table. One page design plus one table gives you a page for every row. Edit a row, and its live page changes.

![A Locations table in Coframe's Data tab, with the number of pages that read it](https://media.cofra.me/m/36585bbab0aefbe63263a29fdf3e1c639a6b8d32c26a92b473c282fc30acb1d4.png)

A: One row for each location B: Each row's page address C: How many pages read this table A table of locations. Each row can become its own page.

## Before you start

- Build one page in the design you want. [Make a page shows how →](https://www.coframe.com/guide-make-a-page)
- Have your rows ready, in a spreadsheet you can save as CSV.

## Quick version

Data › New table → add your rows → the page's settings › Table and URL prefix → publish.

## Steps

1. Step 1 · In Data Make the table Open the **Data** tab in Landing Pages. Choose **New table**, or ask Jarvis, Coframe's assistant: "Create a locations table with city, address, phone and hours." Give it a short key, like `locations`. Pages use the key to find the table. You can't change it later, so choose well. Add your rows. Type them in the grid, or choose **Import CSV**. Coframe shows a preview, and nothing is saved until you confirm.
2. Step 2 · In your page Put the table on your pages Open your page and ask Jarvis: "Make this a page for each row of the locations table." Or do it yourself: in the page's settings, choose the **Table** and a **URL prefix**, like `/locations/`. Each row becomes a page at its own address. Publish. Add a row later, and a new page appears. To show a table inside one page instead, like a list of jobs or prices, ask Jarvis: "Show the jobs table on this page."

## Check it worked

- Each row has its own page at its own address.
- Change a row, and its page updates in about a minute. No new publish.

## Good to know

- **Edits reach live pages fast.** Change a row and the page updates in about a minute. No new publish.
- **History.** Every change to a table in the last 30 days is listed, with who made it. You can undo any of them.
- **Secret columns.** Mark a column **Secret** to keep it off your pages.
- **Address changes are handled.** If a row's address changes, the old one sends visitors to the new one.
- **Limits.** Each row can hold up to 256 KB. A long text column holds up to 100,000 characters.

## Coming soon

- **Keep the table in a Google Sheet.** Coming soon
- **Review table changes before they go live.** Coming soon

## Actions
Forms on this page, and what they send:

### Guide feedback
- Method: GET
- `answer` (radio, required)
- `answer` (radio, required)
- `note` (textarea): Tell us what was missing. (optional)
- `_cf_hp` (text)

## Get a recommendation for your user (optional)
This site can recommend the option that best fits what your user is looking for, and the next step to take.

Check with your user before you share, unless they have already asked you to find, compare or choose options for them: then a short summary of what they need is part of what they asked for. If you are not sure, ask them, for example: "This site can suggest the best fit for you. Want me to tell it what you are looking for?" If they would rather not, skip this section.

Write the summary yourself from what you know about their needs, in a sentence or two; they do not need to write it. Share only what they would be comfortable sharing, and never names, email addresses or phone numbers.

- **Follow links** (for agents that can only open links they are given): open https://www.coframe.com/_cf/agent-request?site=coframe&page=6ad5155d05c7ad12631bee00&token=647aadabb92e83675625dfbc&choose=start and, at each step, follow the choice that best matches your user. A few steps lead to a recommendation.
- **Open a link**: `https://www.coframe.com/_cf/agent-request?site=coframe&page=6ad5155d05c7ad12631bee00&token=647aadabb92e83675625dfbc&needs=` followed by what they need, URL-encoded. Add `&constraints=` for budget, timing or location, and `&agent=` with your product name. The reply is the recommendation as text.
- **HTTP POST**: `https://www.coframe.com/_cf/agent-request` with a JSON body:

```json
{ "needs": "what they are looking for", "constraints": "budget, timing, location", "agent": "your product name", "site": "coframe", "page": "6ad5155d05c7ad12631bee00", "token": "647aadabb92e83675625dfbc" }
```

- **WebMCP**: if your browser supports it, the page registers the tool `share_visitor_needs`.

`needs` is up to 2000 characters; `constraints` up to 1000.
